The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into force on 25 May 2018.

This Privacy Policy describes who is responsible for the personal information you communicate to us, what personal information we collect from you, how we will use or process that personal information, to whom we may disclose it, and your rights and choices regarding your personal information.

Depending on who you are - customer, supplier or other business partner - we interact with you in many different ways. Typically, our various departments collect your personal data directly when you do business with us (or the company you represent), when you request information about our products and services, when you place orders with us, when you provide products or services to us, when we want to enter into a partnership with you, when you attend our training sessions or events, etc.

Personal information is also provided voluntarily, such as when you use the "contact" function "Contact form" or "Sign up here" on our website or communicate with us, by email or through our social networks, when you register on one of our platforms, when you visit our exhibitions, when you subscribe to our newsletters, etc.

The personal data we collect consists mainly of:

• Your name and surname;
• Professional contact details (title, name, telephone, e-mail address, business address);
• Comments you leave on our website.

SALVI also collects certain information automatically when you use our website, such as:

SALVI may collect personal information for the following purposes:

Whenever we collect personal data from you, we will inform you about the specific purpose in order to provide full transparency about what we do with your personal data. In accordance with the 'purpose limitation' principle under the GDPR, we will not process your data for a purpose that is unrelated to the purpose for which the data was initially collected.

Under the GDPR, the main grounds on which we will process your personal data are:

• We have to fulfil a contract we have with you (or the company you represent) or we have to prepare such a contract;
• We are legally obliged to process the data we collect from you;

We may share your information with service providers, contractors and sub-contractors who support our business to help us provide the best products and services, organise events, etc. For example, using third party software to administer our CRM system. When we use third party service providers, we provide limited access to your information so that the service provider can perform tasks on our behalf. These service providers are prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than providing this assistance and are contractually required to protect personal information disclosed by SALVI and to comply with the general privacy principles described in this Privacy Policy.

SALVI also reserves the right to disclose and/or transfer personal information to a third party if SALVI has reason to believe that disclosing personal information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property. Depending on the nature of the data, the context and purpose of the processing, as well as the risk of impact on the privacy of natural persons, SALVI undertakes to take all technical and organisational measures to ensure appropriate security of personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.

You have the right to access, rectify or erase the personal data we process about you. In addition, you have the right to restrict or object to the processing of your data and the right to data portability. This means that you can send us a request to send your personal data as a file to you or another organisation.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on your consent to process your personal data and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority where you believe that we have not processed your personal information in accordance with data protection laws.

You will also be provided with an unsubscribe possibility in our commercial messages.

Salvi retains your data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data is processed to fulfil our contractual or pre-contractual obligations to you as a (potential) customer, supplier or other business partner.

We will need to change this policy from time to time to ensure that it is up to date with the latest legal requirements and any changes to our privacy management practices.

When we change the policy, we may notify you of such changes, where necessary. A copy of the latest version of this policy will always be available on this page.
