The 39th National Lighting Symposium 2013 was held in Mataró on the 22nd of May. Salvi participated with 2 white papers. The first one explained in full detail our experience illuminating the “Parc de l’Estatut de Catalunya”, a new landscape project recently inaugurated in the city of Barcelona, Spain. The architects responsible of this project emphasized the importance of illuminating this environment combining a modern and functional design, while demanding high efficiency levels as one of their main concerns. The second white paper explained our view on the current status of LED technology in terms of efficiency and costs, and how these parameters affect the luminaire and the project efficiency. We also made a projection on the future evolution of these key factors in relation with technical lighting. We also introduced our experiences with lighting management, new energy service companies and other specific projects. The National Symposium on Lighting was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the actual situation of the lighting industry and to foresee the next developments in professional lighting.
